Made in the early years of Ford Mustang production, we’re delighted to present this fully rebuilt Fastback that has covered just 500 miles since its extensive works.
With the engine having just had its run in service, it’s now ready to be enjoyed. It’s rare to find such a fresh, early Ford Mustang Fastback that’s had all the work done to it and now presented for sale. In impeccable condition, this Ford Mustang has been adapted with driving and enjoyment in mind.
Fresh with a new 347 stroker motor, aluminium AFI heads, roller rockers, upgraded Mallory Ignition and new Pipes stainless steel exhaust system, it really does have to be driven and heard to be believed.
It’s just had a new five-speed manual gearbox fitted as part of the build and its brakes have been adapted to have overzised Willwood drilled and slotted disc brakes (disc brakes all round) to control its new 5.0-litre V8 engine.
Underneath, the body has had strengthening added with sub-frame connectors as well as stainless steel fuel lines and fuel tank. It has line-x material throughout the frame and floor pans that looks brilliant but it’s also a great sound deadening product, which helps for long journeys.
As a true GT car, this Fastback has had its suspension updated to enjoy driving it both at low speeds and in traffic, as well as cruising on the motorway. It now has a front adjustable coilover system and tubular control arms to make it an even better GT car, even competing with modern-day equivalents, but still retaining the traditional Mustang driving experience. It has the desirable rack and pinion steering, which really helps at low speeds.
Inside the car is immaculate with a new 1967 interior and the specification works really well with its jet black exterior. It’s been given new glass windows and stainless steel and is in exceptional condition.
This specification has been clearly thought out to retain the Fastback’s characteristics but also enhance them with the most desirable gearbox and engine of the bunch, as well as modifying its ride and handling. It’s definitely one to run, enjoy and cherish for years to come.
