Presented for sale from a collection of Jaguars, this XJS Convertible has a cool history. Supplied new to Florida, USA, it spent time in Jamaica before being repatriated to its ‘home’ in Britain, in 2018.
Owned by an avid Jaguar collector, it’s presented for sale fully rust-protected for the UK and comes complete with a new, top-of-the range soft-top hood with refitted glass and a UK bumper and headlight conversion.
As it was supplied new to the USA, it’s left-hand drive so could be exported to Europe should you wish, or enjoyed in the UK. It has done 80,000 miles and had recent remedial engine and exhaust modification works to make sure its 5.3-litre V12 runs and sounds as it should, and is presented with a large folder of invoices totalling over £5,000 this year alone.
As it’s a Series 2, it has the V12 and is paired with a smooth three-speed automatic gearbox, both of which match the car, making it matching numbers. It’s a good, honest example of a Jaguar XJS Convertible that hasn’t been driven sparingly or locked away in a garage.
Finished in a great specification of recently detailed black paint over red leather, with an interesting story and all the works done to convert it to UK specification already, we’ll be sad to see it go. The car comes with a full MOT until 12th August 2019.
