Not to be mistaken for a kit car or a tuned Mitsubishi Pajero Evo. This is the real deal. It’s been evented, including on the Tuareg Rally (2011,2015 second in its class), and has its MSA certification to participate in British Cross Country Championship.


Built from 1997 until 1999 for Mitsubishi to be a part of the Dakar Rally’s T2 class, the Pajero Evo is a serious bit of kit with rallying credentials. We’re selling on behalf of a long-standing client, who has decided to focus efforts on other racing cars.


This particular car has been used and has a reinforced chassis, roll cage, plexi windows, its rear widows removed and replaced with aluminium to reinforce, as well as a lightened door/tailgate, steel front bumper and aluminium chequered plates underneath.


Mechanically, it has been polibushed all around, all of the brakes replaced with braided hoses, a fiddle brake, mechanical disc handbrake and a bias valve. It’s got Eibach springs fitted with two on each corner at the back with custom made towers to fit the Fox shock absorbers (2.5 inches) with nitrogen canisters.  


Inside it has two camel bags, a Sparco intercom, racing bucket seats with six-point harnesses as well as a built-in high flow compressor, 303+ Terratrip (electronic probe), two spare wheel straps and two sand ladders.


The car runs with a 3.5-litre Mivec engine, upgraded exhaust system and has a manual gearbox which all works and drives as it should. We know it’s been serviced within the last year with a fresh cambelt change and has had a new water pump recently.


It’s a great car, a joy to drive, it’s fully road legal and one of the last great homologation specials. Jump it, enjoy it and share it!
