About the Event
We're very excited to invite you to join us once more, for our weekend hill climb festival 'Duke's Hill Climb' in partnership with Aubrey Peck, at the world's oldest motorsport venue Shelsley Walsh, in Worcestershire.
On Saturday 27th August, guests who are staying overnight with us will be invited to meet at Duke of London for breakfast before driving in a strictly classic, super, racecar and motorcycle only convoy to Shelsley Walsh - via Daylesford Farm.
In the evening, guests can enjoy a dinner party in the Dutch Barn, with dancing, drinking and live music late into the evening, before closing around the campfire. Period-attire for the party in keeping to your vehicle will be strongly encouraged!
Overnight glamping is available in a variety of bell tents, emperor tents, campervans and bring-your-own pitches, before hill climb action commences at 9am sharp on Sunday morning. If you're not brave enough for a night in the great outdoors, The Court House B&B on-site is excellent or there are plenty of Airbnb's and boutique hotels nearby.
For the main event on Sunday, guests will be invited to compete on the timed hill in any classic, super, racecar or motorcycle, or simply enjoy the sport as a spectator.
In addition to speed hill climbing, there will also be a judged static car and motorcycle display with lots of prizes to be won, off-roading in the surrounding fields, autojumble stalls and food and drinks.
We really hope to see you there, at what Classic Driver described as "the most eclectic event we've ever been to"!
Much love,
The Duke of London and Aubrey Peck team x
Please note, sadly no dogs (or another furry friends!) will be permitted anywhere on-site at Shelsley Walsh for safety reasons.
Drivers and passengers must wear helmets when driving the hill. You may bring your own or borrow one from the venue. It is also recommended to wear long sleeves and trousers for any motorsport activity. All insurance for the event is the responsiblity of the driver.
