I’m afraid of messing it up, but I really want it to fit better.
Hey everyone! I’m having trouble with a skirt that’s just a bit too long for me. I’m not sure if I should hem it myself or take it to a professional. I’m afraid of messing it up, but I really want it to fit better. Has anyone had experience altering the length of skirts, and if so, how do you ensure it looks clean and professional? Any advice would be much appreciated!

I’ve also had a skirt altered at a local shop, and it really does make a difference when someone who knows what they’re doing handles the job. It’s amazing how the right length can completely change the look and feel of a skirt. You might also want to check with a tailor about adjusting the waistband if needed, especially if the skirt is too tight or loose.
